Water Treatment Plant
Construction on the PWC Water Treatment Plant (WTP) started on October on Wednesday, October 9th. Construction is expected to take 12-14 months. Once completed, the WTP will pull water from Lake Oconee to be treated and used as a potable water supply for what is known as the Reynolds Water System. This system is located in south Greene County and includes the following areas: Del Webb, The Landing, Reynolds at Lake Oconee. It also includes the Highway 44 corridor starting just outside Harbor Club and ending at the Lake Oconee Village commercial area.

Plant Detail
The WTP will have an initial design capacity of 2 million gallons per day (MGD), and can be expanded to 5 MGD. This plant will replace the ground water wells that currently provide water to the Reynolds Water System.
